In May of 2012 we had the pleasure of attending the National Speciality of the Irish Wolfhound in Grey Summit, MO. It was four days of non-stop IW fun. First there was the Puppy Sweepstakes, then the girls showed, after that the boys showed, and then the specials (Dogs that were already champions) and finally the grand final chamions of the show along with special events, like braces (two dogs at once) and teaming (thre or more dogs at once). In the evenings there were educational programs and an Auction to benefit the Irish Wolfhound Foundation. All ending with a great dinner party. Our Kerry was successful and placed third in her class of 9 to 12 month puppy bitches.
Two weeks after the National Speciality we were at the Mid-Alantic Hound Speciality. Duke took Best of Breed afor a 4 point major, and Kerry took Winners Bitch for 2 points (See the Photo Gallery for their official Photos). Tegan won her class, but was beat out by Kerry in the long run. Duke had to beat out beat a champion for his award.
