We purchased Brianna from a kennel in Canada in June of 2011. She is a beautiful hound and has excellent confirmation. However, she was seven months old when we purchased her and had never had much human contact. She had never been in a house, nor in a car. We had hoped to show her, but she is shy and nervous in the show environment and we decided that in her best interests that we would not put her in the ring after the first couple of times. She is very sweet and we love her dearly. She weighs about 145 lbs...
She is OFA Certified, heart and eyes normal
Quilemes de Sudestada, aka "Kerry" is our beautiful black dog from Argentia. We flew down there in November 2011 and adopted her from Paula and her husband there. She is wonderful young girl born in August 2011. At eighteen months she is approximately 140 lbs. and 34 inches. She took third at the 2012 National Speciality in Missouri in the 9-12 month puppy class. Two weeks later took winne's Bitch at the mid-Alantic Hound Speciality in Raleigh NC.
She is OFA Certified eyes normal. (The do not do heart until they are two years old.)
Duke is a large black/Gray Brindle male. We adopted him for the breeder near Austin, Texas in the fall of 2010. His current weight is 165 lbs and he is 37" high at the shoulder. He definetly has a "commanding presence!" However he is just a big lover. He plays with the girls and with Casey. He is the only wolfhound that we have heard of that likes to fetch. He fetches his "Jolly Ball" with a handle until he, or the thrower, gives up. Frequently, it is a tie.
He is OFA certified heart and eyes normal.
Female, Born & bred in Canada, born 2011
Casey is our Irish dog. He is from Nutstown Kennel in Hollywood, Ireland, near Dublin. He is a great dog and has a great temperament. However, when he was young, and being shown, while he was in the ring he was described as 'flying a kite in a tornado." We have him since the fall of 2005. Unfortunately, when we bred him he produced a puppy with a liver shunt. We had him neutered at the time to prevent the genes that produce this condition from being passed on the gene pool.
